Moments in the Natural World

When my feet hit the ground in the mornings, the first thing I do is change my infant daughter’s diaper. Her stand is right in front of the nursery window that looks out on the back yard. This winter we would sometimes see deer. Now, Spring is coming. This blue-hued bird sauntered across our line of sight shortly after I pulled the blinds open. My iPhone 5 has obvious limitations and for the first time I wished for some zoom power. I love that little dot of blue.

Each moment is captured beautifully. I really like the effect of the light/lamp in the porch on the last one and the interesting contrast in the colours of the first and second. The second one is very moody. Lovely phrase, ‘The blue-hued bird sauntered across our line of sight …’ 🙂
